Christ Seekers
Fellowship
2 Timothy 2:3. You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 4. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. One of the key words here is "entangles". There is a big difference between being responsible and being entangled. To me being entangled is being so involved in the things of this world that one seemingly does not have time to be a dedicated minister for the Lord. If God has called us, we still need to be responsible to the needs of this life but we can also be focused on one's service and will before God.
Matthew 12:30. "He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad. This is a verse about total commitment with a positive outcome. Anyone can take claim to Christianity but those serving the Lord in sincerity, will be a living example for those that find a need for Christ in their lives because of this one's living testimony before God and man.
Romans 15:5. Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus, 6. that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. There is only one way to become like-minded and that is through a sincere love and the anointing that is given to those that are in Christ as this verse says, according to Christ, that is, the anointing that is in you through Christ Jesus.
Matthew 12:31. "Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. 32. "Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come. This verse shows great importance to God's divine giving of His Holy Spirit, our guarantee of His leading presence to our salvation.
1 Peter 4:8. And above all things have fervent love for one another, for "love will cover a multitude of sins.'' 9. Be hospitable to one another without grumbling. 10. As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. The importance of Christian fellowship and seeking the gifts of God that others have to offer.
If anyone wonders if they have been called, I think this Scripture says that we will know in our hearts. Philippians 2:13. for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. Take notice that both there will be a will or a desire to do what God has laid on your heart. But also consider the following Scripture where Paul states "woe is me" if he did not do the will of God.
1 Corinthians 9:16. For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for necessity is laid upon me; yes, woe is me if I do not preach the gospel! 17. For if I do this willingly, I have a reward; but if against my will, I have been entrusted with a stewardship. 18. What is my reward then? That when I preach the gospel, I may present the gospel of Christ without charge, that I may not abuse my authority in the gospel.
