My name is Wayne Eck and I also as others before me have found a most sincere need for God in 1992 when I witnessed my family, riding in the pickup ahead of me, pull out in front of a Semi tractor/trailer which instantly took the life of our teenage son, Joel. The rest of my immediate family was physically broken and Joel's surviving brothers were "Life-watched" to a local area hospital, where recovery could begin as well as the planning of one funeral. A few weeks following that accident, I picked up a NKJ bible and began experiencing comfort in reading the red print, the words of Jesus. From that point I set my face to seeking God and all the provisions that He had reserved for me and my family. I had been raised in a Christian home but was not following the way of Christ at that time. What was so agonizing in my heart was, was our son mere "road kill" or was there truly a God that was holding the soul of my son. I took on the task of studying the bible without any outside influence. I read that the bible was inspired and I took on the belief that anyone that really wanted to understand it would need to seek the same inspiration that was given to those that recorded the words of God as well as the actions taken by men. Not all in the bible had a good relationship with God but again some were very close with the Lord. It's our choice to chose the relationship we desire with the Lord.
As for me, my sincere dedication to studying Scripture and seeking the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob of the Old Testament and Jesus Christ, the Son of God and His disciples as manifested in the New Testament, led to my finding a close and comforting relationship within the fullness of God. Sincere studying of Scripture, with prayer and applying biblical precepts in my own life, was foundational in making God the Father, His blessings and His Son Christ Jesus, real in my life. Now, it is with much joy that I share with others the reality of the presence of the Lord in their lives.
I just want to help others, make it real with God. I will tell you first hand, that going to church does not necessarily promise you a close relationship with God. What I do suggest is that anyone that is sincerely seeking the presence of God in their lives is to let that be known to the Lord through prayer and an open heart for truth. Truthfully, no one needs me to find this divine relationship but I am so willing to be there as an encouragement for those that are seeking and to be in fellowship with those that are already in Christ. Either way, I would love the fellowship as we grow in the knowledge of the Lord together.
This is what Christ Seekers fellowship is all about, a group that is seeking together in the spirit of love. We do not have to agree on all things, but to have a humble heart, willing to learn, not the doctrines of man but the truths of God that only God reveals through His Holy Spirit. One of the ministries that God has appointed to the body of Christ, even today, is the ministry of edification. We do not have to go any further to understand that we as a group need this to grow and to be an encouragement to others.
To get a little more acquainted, I host this fellowship and hope this will become an inspiration to others. Also, about three years ago, I became a cancer survivor, both spiritually and physically. My wife, Sarah and I own KCE Industries which is a small welding and fabrication business, and my son Jeff and I also are in the business of building ASVE Trikes. My first passion though is living in the presence of the Lord, bible study and helping others in their pursuit for God.
For certain, the purpose of this fellowship is not to lure anyone to a church, instead the focus is on finding a most intimate relationship with the Lord, 24/7 that provides the strength and encouragement we all need in finding victory over the trials and heartbreaks of this world.
Acts 3:19. "Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,
I also write another web, www.christnus.org where I have written many precepts I have found in Scripture. So if you wish to view, please consider what I say, but as the apostle Paul wrote, let your understanding come from the Lord.
