Christ Seekers
Fellowship
The outlook for this fellowship is to experience an urgency to become more Christ-like and be a spiritual encouragement to others. To inspire others to pick up the bible in sincere prayer, sincerely seeking what was the standard that was established by the early apostles for the church of Jesus Christ and how is that standard being applied today in the lives of those that are in Christ. What was the apostles view of the church and their worship before God. Are we today in alignment with that view. Consider the following verse, when written, stated "from childhood" knowing that the New Testament was not yet written and yet that Scripture says that, that was all they needed. No other books, nothing other than the studying of these early Scriptures thoroughly equipped a man for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:14. But as for you, continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, 15. and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17. that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. .
But today we have more, we have those same Scriptures plus the New Testament combined with God's indwelling Holy Spirit. How much more we have today then what they had and yet there seems to be a major falling away from God. A lack of interest in seeking deeper in the deep things of the Lord. This fellowship is for those that do not want to be a part of that falling away, instead seeking deeper for the truths that God has reserved for those that are living in these evil days.
Consider this: 1 Corinthians 15:33. Do not be deceived: "Evil company corrupts good habits.'' 34. Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame. This is the outcome we, as Christ Seekers are seeking. To simply awaken and to awaken others in our circle of influence to God's righteousness through the presence of the Lord. Jesus warned in Matthew 24:4. ... "Take heed that no one deceives you. 5. "For many will come in My name, saying, `I am the Christ,' and will deceive many. Consider this, who else is going to come in the name of Jesus, deceiving many, unless they are those that are looked upon as godly, biblically educated and credentialed. And I'm not saying that all that are credentialed are deceived. But we can take comfort that God has provided a way for those that truly want to become children of God, that are sincerely seeking His truths and that is through the guarantee which He has given to those that are committed, which is His Holy Spirit. 2 Corinthians 5:5. Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee. And what did Jesus promise us that this Holy Spirit would do? John 16:13. "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; .... And now consider this, if God is providing us with a Spirit of truth, which will guide us into all truth, then what do we have before we seek this divine Spirit? Certainly, not the truth. Think about it, if man already had truth, then what value is the Holy Spirit of truth? It becomes more clear that truth is truly a valuable commodity. Even though it is free, it is only free from one source, the Holy Spirit of God. No one can buy it. It's not for sale anywhere! No one can earn it. No one can give it to another with certainty. Therefore man does not have it period, apart from Christ. It is only available for those that will come to God through His Son Jesus. Consider this, for God to offer a guide to all truth, it should become very clear that even though we may think we are right, we must consider the alternative, especially since God thought is good to give us His divine Holy Spirit as a guarantee. So until one is willing to submit to God, seeking His truths, they're more than likely, included with the deceived. How does anyone discover they are deceived unless they are given truth through the anointing of Christ. Apart from the anointing of Christ, deception is not realized. One has to give this some serious thought here. So without divine truth, one will remain in their state of deception, and never know it. I believe this is the number one contributor for so many differing opinions that seem to be right to those that place their trust in them. Clearly, this is a condition of the heart thing. Any belief that one holds and considers that belief to be true, are they going to be open to another view. Not likely, for in their heart, they are already right and see no need for change. Can the Holy Spirit work in this condition. I say no! Think about this, can a teacher teach a know-it-all student? Of coarse not! Then don't expect the Holy Spirit of God to try to teach to a deaf heart, God knows better!. This is why there are so many controversial and differing doctrinal beliefs. Any belief that is formed apart from the Holy Spirit is not going to be the complete truth, even though it may appear so to the supporters of that belief. When Jesus gave us the Promise of the Father, the Holy Spirit, and earlier said in Matthew 18:3. ..., "Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Part of the conversion process is opening ones' heart for divine learning, comparatively to the innocence of a child, then the Holy Spirit can work. The pool of deceivers is huge for it is full of those that down deep, see no need for the Holy Spirit to correct their beliefs, since they're satisfied that they're right. Many become satisfied in choosing a belief that is in agreement with others. For this hardness of heart, they will not see the kingdom of God. Scary thought but true. Consider this following Scripture
1 John 2:26 These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive you. 27. But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.
It is very clear, that if we place our trust in the Holy Spirit of God, we will be given truth. If we place our trust in those that are credentialed and looked upon as godly, we take a huge risk of being deceived, without ever knowing it. I'm not just saying this, this is what the bible is saying! Consider the words of the prophet Jeremiah.
Jeremiah 17:5. Thus says the Lord: "Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart departs from the Lord. What this verse says to me is this; you can not do both, either you place your trust in the teaching of man or you place your trust in God and His anointing, Who is true and is not a lie and just as He has taught you, you will abide in Him. These are those that are in Christ, the Christ Seekers.
The apostle Paul was deeply concerned about these false prophets, so listen to the urgency of his heart as he wrote these words. Acts 20:29. "For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock. 30. "Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves. 31. "Therefore watch, and remember that for three years I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears. 32. "And now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.
There is only one way to get back to the basic truths of God and that is through seeking truth with a most sincere heart and prayer and God's divine Holy Spirit, the resource for all truth.
Ephesians 5:15. See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16. redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
Consider this, there was an ultimate huge price that was divinely paid for the grace of God! So what value is that to us individually? Can such a gift be taken so lightly, that we waste our lives on the unimportant things of this world that redirects one's focus from the presence of the Lord? If we are truly in a relationship with the Lord, then where is the urgency to reach out to everyone around us that might not know the richness of God's indwelling presence or the grace that was purchased by the blood of Jesus, God's only begotten Son. Jesus told us to love our neighbor as ourselves. Is this being done when we are satisfying the self in us? God has given each of us a circle of influence and I believe we are going to be held accountable how we have served those that God has placed in our lives. After all, for those that share in Christ, Jesus is to have the preeminence in all things in our lives!
Colossians 1:18. And He (Jesus) is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.
